Ho Ho Ho: The How-To Guide To Saying Goodbye to Dry Skin

If you are suffering from a lot of dry skin this winter, then you are certainly not alone. To help you combat your dry, winter skin, we have created a list of a few simple things that you can do from the comforts of your home.

Exfoliate

Exfoliating your face and your body is one of the best ways for you to get rid of dead, dry skin. Just make sure that you only exfoliate 2-3 times a week. Why? If you exfoliate your skin too much, it could cause it to become too dry. When you are choosing an exfoliator, look for one that’s made up of natural ingredients like salt, sugar, or even oatmeal.

Moisturize

After you have fully exfoliated your skin, now it’s time to moisturize. When choosing a moisturizer for your skin in the winter, you are going to have to choose one that’s thicker than a moisturizer that you may use during the summer. When shopping for a moisturizer, look for one that contains anti-aging ingredients like hyaluronic acid and retinol. Why? Because moisturizers are a great way to let something do double duty for your skin. Not only will your face cream hydrate your skin, but it will also help with anti-aging as well.

Face Masks

Another fun way for you to hydrate your skin is with a face mask. Whether you prefer sheet face masks or cream face masks, look for one that contains hydrating ingredients; that way you can be sure that you get all of the benefits. Typically, you can use a face mask once or twice a week, but that depends on what ingredients are in it.
